- Of all the four volumes of sermons by George Whitefield, Vol. 1 is based on the foundations of faith. In sermons 6 and 23, it convinces man that all will come to death in solemn funeral sermons. He pleads with mankind to come to the Lord before that time. In sermons 11, 12, and 13, George addresses the gospel to believers, encouraging them in their salvation.
